The  Nigerian aviation industry would have been consign to the annal of history by now but for emergence of Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Chairman of Air Peace,Barrister Allen Onyema who made this known while speaking with aviation journalists in  Lagos stated that prior to the advent of the Tinubu administration, commercial airline operators in Nigeria were struggling to keep their business afloat.

“We as Airline Operators of Nigeria(AON)know what we were going through before and what we are enjoying now.We thank President Tinubu for appointing Barrister Festus Keyamo(SAN) as Aviation Minister.Without  the Tinubu’s government,aviation would have been dead by now.”

Onyema disclosed that Nigerian operators are about to have their first Dry Lease aircraft.”The whole world,the big lessors in the world are now scrabbling for Nigerian operators. This government  is making it easy for Nigerian operators to survive. The language of the Cape Town Convention (CTC) is in favour  of Nigerian airlines.”

The Air Peace Chairman revealed that the Airline will be taking delivery of another B777 in the next few weeks thus bringing this brand of aircraft in the fleet of Air Peace to four.

“Air Peace is representing the country very well.Air Peace has push down drastically the costs of international flights”

“The banking industry now have confidence in the Nigerian aviation because of Air Peace.Our bank celebrated Air Peace at Civic Centre in April last year.”

“We are trail blazer.We set the pace.When we borrow,we pay.Every bank wants to do business with Air Peace.Its all boiled down to integrity.”

On maintenance,Onyema told news men that” Air Peace has been validated  by stringent civil aviation authorities in the world.It passed Israeli’s CAA validation that is why it flies to Israel today.

”Israel Aerospace Industry is where we maintain our planes.We do not care about the cost.We go for the best.So when you are flying Air Peace,you can go to sleep.”

Speaking  on operations,Chief Onyema explained that “no airline under the sun would like to cancel flights.If you do so,you lose money”.

“There are frivolous video and bile out there trying to blackmail Air Peace.Unruly behavior is a bane to the Nigerian operators.

“Behaviour they (passengers) cannot afford to put on in Cotonou,they exhibit here.Most of the delays are external factors beyond the control of the airlines.There is orchestrated smear campaign against Air Peace.”

He implored Nigerians “to jettison the pull him down syndrome. When you hate,you poison yourself. Air Peace is a mini Nigeria.We inculcate the spirit of oneness in our staff.”

“We should beging to fight for our own.People who are myopic may say this business belongs to Ibo man or Hausa.Let us do things that will promote this country.Nigerians should be grateful to Aliko Dangote,Mike Adenuga and the Elumelus of this world.”

The existence of businesses established by these people,if closed down as a result of unpatriotic attitudes of some people,million Nigerians who are gainfully employed in them will be the ones to suffer.”

Before the coming of Air Peace,Nigerians travelling to United Kingdom,Dubai and many other foreign countries were paying through their nose,he stated.

“He disclosed that in the next few days,the Airline will unveil new customer service outfit at the nation’s airports.”

In addition,come October 26,2025,Air Peace will be oprating Abuja- Heathrow four days a week and Abuja-Gatwick three days a week.
