NUATE,AUPCTRE STEP DOWN SECOND DAY STRIKE
The National Union of Air Transport Employees(NUATE) and Amalgamated Union of Public Corporation Civil Service Technical and Recreational Service Employees(AUPCTRE) have agreed to step down the second day of the warning strike.
The two unions said they arrive at the decision after considering passionate appeals from well-meaning Nigerians and organizations and having regard for inconveniences to the air travelling public.
The two unions expressed the hope that the Agencies, the Ministry of Aviation and the National Salaries ,Income and Wages Commission(NSWC) will heed the warning and take ameliorative steps towards meeting their demands of releasing the conditions of service of the agencies.
In a joint statement signed by Comrade Ocheme Aba of NUATE and Sikiru Waheed for AUPCTRE said failure to meet their demands would lead to a full blown strike.
