Dear Colleagues,

I’m honored to serve as your new President and build on the momentum of the 79th IFALPA Conference in Incheon.

With a strong team and clear priorities, the full Executive Board will meet in Brussels this month, and we’re eager to get down to business.

We’re also excited to share that our Membership has increased with the addition of the Allied Pilots Association (APA) under the umbrella of ALPA International, and our newest Member Association, the Kuwait Pilots’ Association. Please join me in welcoming our new colleagues.

There’s a vital difference between simply attending an IFALPA event and truly participating. I encourage every Member Association to reflect on this question: What are we contributing to the work of this Federation? Because IFALPA is not just the staff in Montreal or your Elected Officers—it is you, the Member Associations and your pilots. YOU are IFALPA!

I’d like you to remember that engagement isn’t just showing up; it’s speaking up, stepping forward, and being part of the solution.

If there’s something you want to see done differently, be part of making that change. The Global Voice of Pilots grows stronger with every added voice.

So, I challenge you, are you ready to turn your ideas into change at the global level?

This is where advocacy turns ideas into action. As you have already received the advocacy package outlining the Working Papers for ICAO Assembly 42, IFALPA encourages all Member Associations to actively engage with their Regulators and Transport officials.

These papers highlight critical industry priorities, and strong State support will be vital to advancing them.

Your advocacy efforts will help ensure these important issues receive the attention they deserve.

We’ll update you again after the Executive Board Meeting, stay tuned for more ways to get involved.

In Unity,

Captain Ron Hay, President
