The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria(FAAN) has vowed to send parking personnel from other agencies attached to  airports under its control whose conduct in the course of their duties does not portray Nigeria in a good light.

Managing Director of FAAN Mrs.Olubunmi Kuku made this known at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos while responding to question from newsmen.

According to Mrs.Kuku,the Authority is not ready to treat any officer irrespective of his or her position with kid gloves if found to be involved in issues that are not in tandem with the goals of  FAAN.

“ FAAN can  throw out any personnel from any agency at the airport who is actually crossing the line. We can throw the person out. Whether it is customs, National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency(NDLEA) or anybody for that matter.”

“And that is why the other person who was caught on tape the other time, we can see that he was thrown out of the airport.”

“We are the landlord, they are not under our employ. We are not their bosses, but we are their landlords. You see the last time when there was an incident here on tape, we threw that particular personnel out of the airport.”

To sustain the temple and rid our airports of men of questionable behaviours, the FAAN boss is asking for inter-agency cooperation and inter-ministerial cooperation.

She gives the assurance that there will be great improvements in work ethics, great improvements in attitude to work, great improvement in conscientiousness and dedication to duty.

Kuku said that  management and staff, have worked very hard at making the Murtala Muhammed International Airport look very welcoming and a big lift from where it was before.
