Ibom Air’s Executive Director addresses  role of collaboration at NAFSA Biennial Conference

George Uriesi, the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Ibom Air took the stage as a special guest speaker at the Nigerian Aviation Fire and Safety Association (NAFSA) Biennial Conference, held from July 24-26, 2024, at the Cocos Hotel and Resort in FCT-Abuja.

The conference, which focused on “Rationale for Collaborations and Inclusiveness in Emergency Response Geared Towards Achieving the Aviation Roadmap,” resonated deeply within Nigeria’s aviation community.

Mr. Uriesi delivered a compelling presentation on the imperative for enhanced collaboration and growth among aviation sector stakeholders.

Emphasizing the pivotal role of partnerships in emergency response strategies, he highlighted the important role the fire and safety personnel play in the aviation ecosystem.

Often uncelebrated and overlooked, he encouraged them to remain steadfast in the discharge of their duties, again emphasizing that they play a very important and life-saving role in the scheme of things, even though they may only be recognized during emergencies.

The conference, a pivotal event for aviation safety and emergency management professionals, served as a platform for robust discussions on advancing emergency response capabilities in line with Nigeria’s aviation roadmap.

It was a significant opportunity for stakeholders to stay informed about the latest advancements and strategies in the aviation sector.

Ibom Air’s Presence at the conference not only reaffirmed the airline’s commitment to safety and collaboration but also signaled a proactive stance in shaping the future of Nigeria’s aviation sector.
