In commemoration of the 2025 National Children’s Day, Ibom Air brought joy and care to children in Uyo through a dual celebration held at the Government of Akwa Ibom State (AKSG) Transit Camp in Uyo and the Children’s Ward of the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital (UUTH).

The initiative, being a part of Ibo

m Air’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, featured games, storytelling, gift presentation, and a health-focused engagement crafted to uplift the spirits and wellbeing of children in both locations.

At the AKSG Transit Camp, Ibom Air, hosted a fun-filled and educative party that brought together children and caregivers in the home. The event was filled with a lot of laughter, music, and moments of learning activities.

Also, in partnership with the Association of Resident Doctors and RennyCares Foundation, Ibom Air visited the pediatric wing of the UUTH and sponsored a party for the admitted children and those in the outpatient clinic.

In addition, insecticide treated nets (ITNs) and provisions were donated to the children in the general and emergency wards, aiding one of the objectives of spreading a message of recovery well in an atmosphere of care and positivity.

The Ibom Air CSR thrust is centered around Health, Education and Community Development interventions.

In the past months, Ibom Air has contributed, significantly, to the “Saving Little Hearts” initiative aimed at providing free open-heart surgeries for children across Nigeria; donated 50,000 packs of sulphadoxine/pyrimethamine medication for pregnant women to reduce infant mortality/morbidity caused by malaria parasite; as well as provided transformational mentorship efforts for the young demographic population in Nigeria through Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) activities.

Speaking during the events, Mrs. Imelda Aba, Group Manager for Corporate Services at Ibom Air, noted:

“At Ibom Air, we believe that every child deserves a safe, joyful, and nurturing environment with ‘their little wings and big dreams’.”

“ Our Children’s Day activities are an expression of our values and our commitment to touchinglives beyond aviation. By supporting children in vulnerable situations and those receiving care at UUTH, we are staying true to our CSR pillars.”

Ibom Air’s CSR program continues to make tangible impacts across the nation, driven by a commitment to uplift communities through targeted interventions in health, education, and community development.
