FAAN promptly puts out fire that gutted Terminal 1

Timely arrival of  the Aerodrome Rescue and Fire Fighting Services(ARFFS) of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria(FAAN)

Stopped the fire that started at the Terminal one of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos from spreading to other parts of the building.

The fire which was noticed   this morning at approximately 0750, originated from the basement of the Terminal building.

According to the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Abdullahi Yakubu-Funtua,staff, and all airport users  inside the Terminal building were promptly evacuated.

He explained in press release:”We are pleased to report that the situation is presently under control.”
