Beware of fake recruitment, appointment letters,NAMA advises general public

The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has alerted the general public on the activities of unscrupulous individuals impersonating the agency and issuing fraudulent recruitment and appointment letters to unsuspecting members of the public.
NAMA in a press release signed by the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection,Dr.Abdullahi Musa views this disturbing development with serious concern, particularly as these fraudulent schemes are calculated to exploit innocent job seekers and compromise the integrity and corporate identity of the agency.
For the avoidance of doubt, NAMA is not currently conducting any recruitment exercise. Accordingly, any individual, group or organisation claiming to recruit, facilitate employment or issue appointment letters on behalf of NAMA is acting without the knowledge, approval or authorisation of the agency.
Members of the public are strongly advised to exercise utmost vigilance and refrain from making payments, submitting sensitive personal information or entering into transactions with persons purporting to offer employment opportunities on behalf of NAMA.
Any recruitment notice, employment communication or appointment letter purportedly emanating from the agency should be independently verified through NAMA’s recognised official channels before any action is taken.
The public is particularly advised to disregard unofficial correspondence, social media messages and representations by unauthorised intermediaries.
NAMA does not authorise individuals or third parties to solicit money or other consideration in exchange for employment. Suspected cases of impersonation or fraudulent representation should therefore be reported to the appropriate authorities.
The agency will not accept responsibility for losses or consequences arising from dealings with fraudsters or unauthorised persons falsely claiming to act on its behalf.
It concluded that NAMA remains committed to transparency, institutional integrity and the protection of the public from fraudulent activities.
