BASL fortifies security at MMA2 Lagos

Bi-courtney Aviation Services Limited(BASL) owners and operators of Murtala Muhammed Airport Domestic Terminal Two in Lagos has assured passengers using the facility of their safety and their belongings.
The Company has provided water tight security in the area with the installation of over 200 Close Circuit Television(CCTV) in the Terminal.
BASL head of Aviation Security,Monica Oguta disclosed during interactive session with journalists in Lagos.
Besides uniform security officers, she said there are plain clothed ones deployed to different parts of the terminal carrying out surveillance operations to ensure that any person with sinister motive does not have access to the place to commit all manners of atrocities and get away with them.
“The terminal is one hundred percent covered with CCTV.We caught a passenger who stole two bags with two laptops and eight phones.We track the person,follow him until we got him.I can tell you the terminal is safe and secure,” Oguta said.
She told journalists that very soon,their security men will start wearing body camera so as to monitor their conversation with passengers.
Also speaking at the parlay, the Chief Operating Officer ,Blessing Ewah said that BASL has met all the requirements for regional operations.
According to him,Bi-courtney has spent over six hundred million naira(N6OO,000,000) to put up facilities that are suitable for the regional operations.
Some of the facilities include six aviobridges to facilitate boarding and disembarking, customs, demarcations between Economic Community of West African State (ECOWAS) and local passengers arrivals.There is also provision for ease of movement within the terminal and boarding for people that are physically challenged
Ewah defended collaboration and partnership as good business idea that drive progress.
