Minister of aviation and Aerospace Development,Barrister Festus Keyamo,has said aviation remains a pillar of national development.

Speaking at the 25^th anniversary of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority(NCAA) at Abuja,Keyamo said aviation   facilitates trade, tourism, investment and cultural exchanges.

To sustain its contribution to gross domestic product, GDP,the Minister urged all the players at every level to renew their commitment to ensuring a more progressive, sustainable, inclusive, innovative and prosperous aviation industry.

This,he said necessities the continuous adoption and integration of emerging technologies, enhancing infrastructure and investing in human capital development to keep our skies safer.

On training he said”I can assure you that the permanent secretaries, the Permanent Secretary, the CEOs and myself, were working very hard to ensure that we keep those trainings alive.”

“ We remain committed to support initiatives that will further elevate our aviation sector and ensure that infrastructure and transportation are enhanced as enablers of growth in line with Priority five presidential priorities.”

“ I express my deepest gratitude to all those who have contributed to navigating opulence and the success of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority over the past 25 years. May this celebration serve as a springboard for even greater accomplishments in the years to come. “

Keyamo used the occasion to congratulate the  new director general of the NCAA,Capt.Chris Najomo.
