Maputo airport receives second world-largest aircraft
Maputo International Airport on Saturday received the second-largest aircraft in the world, an Airbus A350-1000, with carrying capacity for 400 passengers.
According to the Director of Operations at Aeroportos de Moçambique, this milestone demonstrates the capacity of national airports, which are experiencing an increase in air traffic.
José Candrino argues that an operation of this magnitude opens up space for economic gains at different levels.
The aircraft, an Airbus A350-1000, landed in Maputo with 347 passengers and 19 crew members on board.
