XeJet Embraer 145 with registration mark 5N-BZZ with 55 persons onboard has skidded off the domestic runway of the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos.

The incident occurred at about 11:58 am. Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria(FAAN) aerodrome fire fighter officers assisted in evacuating the passengers. No report of casualty.

The runway has been closed to traffic.Last month,Dana Air MD-82 marked 5N-BKI veered off the same runway.It was gathered that the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau(NSIB) has dispatched its personnel to the scene to unravel what led to the incident.
