Cabin  Crew in  63years of  Nigeria Independence

Being a cabin crew is a career of dignity and  pride with our green white green uniform representing our National Colour.

.When I joined the National Carrier (Nigeria Airways) 42years ago,I thought I was in a  fantasy Island with fleet of different types of
Aircraft.It was then the National Carrier before other private Airlines came to  the scene.

There was a system for hiring   Cabin crew.An advert for the position of a Cabin crew will be placed on national newspapers for interested persons to apply in writing.

The Airline  will invite the prospective candidates for an interview thereof the successful ones will be offered letters of appointment.

The Company trains the new cabin crew referred to as New Entrants (Supernumerary)Their sights are beautiful to behold.

They are agile,handsome and beautiful tall young ladies and gentlemen always neatly dressed in their uniform. The present ones too fit into the above descriptions.

My joy is that the industry has grown tremendously in the last sixty three years. There are more airlines operating different brands of aircraft traversing the nation’s skies and beyond.More job opportunities for cabin crew and other categories of aviation personnel

Am also delighted that,despite the turbulence in the sector,it has not gone out of existence. The players are resilience and determine to keep it alive.

.I have 4 Cabin Crew  internationally recognized licenses.I am a Cabin Crew Instructor .

Sixty three years of Independence of  our Nation, cabin crew is yet to find a fair and level playing ground in the Aviation Industry.I had job satisfaction in my  Flying.days Am sure the present ones are also having the best of time on the job.I am optimistic that the years ahead will bring more excitement and fulfillment for the cabin crew.
