FAAN carries out Minister’s directive, relocates airlines to new International Terminal
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has started processing passengers through the New International Terminal.
The expedited relocation to the New International Terminal at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport became necessary due to the unfortunate fire incident that occurred at the International Terminal.
The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo, during his maiden visit to Lagos airport had directed the FAAN to relocate airlines to the New International Terminal.
FAAN said in a press release that the relocation will enable it to close down the old terminal and effect total overhaul on the International Airport Terminal 1 by October 1, 2023.
It further indicated that it intends to make the movement as seamless as possible, appealing to travellers to be at the airport early enough to complete their check-in formalities on time in order not to miss their flight.
